Inish Beg Estate

Set among the gardens and woodlands of a beautiful private island estate in the heart of West Cork, Inish Beg Estate is a constellation of eight exclusive, self-catering holiday homes, each with their own distinctive character.

Located in the estuary of the River Ilen and accessible by bridge, Inish Beg is a private island estate covering 97 acres in gorgeous part of West Cork, near the market town of Skibbereen, outside the seaside village of Baltimore. Inish Beg House, dating to 1899, is at the heart of the estate, and the eight self-catering houses are skillfully tucked and blended among the Estate grounds.

Inish Beg was purchased by Paul and Georgiana Keane, who've undertaken a sympathetic renovation and rejuvenation of this island paradise. With the help of a team of gardeners and woodsmen, led by the well known garden designer Verney Naylor, they have replanted the extensive gardens, developed two new woodland gardens and restored the orchard. The farm and gardens provide ample produce and support a fledgling Beekeeping operation, with the Keane's now producing and selling their own Inish Beg Honey.

Proprietors Paul and Georgiana Keane are gracious hosts and welcome guests to fully explore and enjoy this most unique of properties. The Estate with its beautiful woodlands, parkland, farmland, gardens and seashore, provide fertile grounds for recreation and relaxation. Guests enjoy access to a variety of activities on the estate grounds, including: a heated, 13 metre indoor swimming pool, steam room, exercise room with treadmill & weights. Of course there are acres of gardens & woodlands to explore, all prime bird watching habitat. There's also boating and fishing, and even fresh produce grown on the Estate.

Each of the eight cottages offer a very distinctive sense of character and charm. All of the cottages come with fully equipped kitchens that include dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, and cookers / ovens.

The Garden Retreat, situated at the end of the west wing of Inish Beg House, adjacent to walled garden, is a newly converted holiday apartment located at the end of the west wing of Inish Beg House. The Garden Retreat has one double room.

Adjacent to walled garden and sports complex, the Courtyard Cottages consist of five stone built deluxe courtyard holiday cottages which combine the best of modern, comfortable accommodation with traditional country living. Four of the courtyard cottages are two bedroom units, each with one double and one twin, and one of the Courtyard Cottages is a triple.

Situated on the highest part of the estate and secluded 500 meters from the main house, The Lodge is a spacious, newly built two storey holiday home with three guest rooms (1 double, and 2 twins) constructed on the site of an earlier ruined cottage in a private setting with far reaching views over farmland, water and woods.

In a private woodland setting 650 metres from the main house, The Foresters Home is an idyllic, newly built wooden two storey holiday cottage with three guest rooms (1 double and 2 twins) in a tranquil and private woodland setting with views to the water which provides a very private and peaceful environment

Set on water's edge in a secluded area of the estate, The Boat House is an award-winning luxury waterfront stone & glass holiday home in the most beautiful, private location at the water's edge (not suitable for young children). The Boat House is a luxurious three bedroom cottage (1 double and 2 twins) and comes equipped at a higher standard, state of the art Miele appliances including a steam oven as well as a traditional oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer.
