Rothar Cycles

Based in Cork City, Rothar Cycles rents bikes and runs organized tours throughout West Cork, with numerous tours scheduled each summer.

Rothar Cycle runs a fully guided, van supported service, with scheduled tours through West Cork. Guests experience the very best of the West Cork countryside, riding an average of 4 to 5 hours each day. The schedule is fairly casual, usually starting around 10am and finishing sometime after 4pm. All groups are accompanied by Aidan Quinlan, the proprietor of Rothar Cycles. The minimum group size is 8 and the maximum is 16. Luggage is carried on a minibus and for those who want to take a day off from cycling, they can travel along in the minibus.

Rothar Cycles has been in business since renting bike since 1995 and the tour business is a natural extension. You can be assured that you'll be renting a quality bikes. Rothar Cycle bikes are all new 18 speed "hybrid" types with raised handlebars, very easy to ride and much lighter than mountain bikes. They can be used as a 6 speed. Each bike has a handlebar bag to carry essentials like camera, sun cream and swimsuit for the many fine beaches you'll be discovering along the way.
