Birr Equestrian Centre

Set on a picturesque 140 acres estate of Kingsborough House just 3km from the Heritage Town of Birr in County Offaly, Birr Equestrian Centre caters to the horse riding enthusiast, with indoor and outdoor arenas, and a variety of cross country treks.

The equestrian centre has been catering to the rider and horse enthusiasts for over 30 years and all ages and abilities are welcome. Noel Cosgrave leads a team of dedicated instructors all having been certified by the British Horse Society.With both indoor and outdoor arenas, riding is guaranteed to take place throughout the year regardless of the weather conditions.

Within the reception building at Birr Equestrian centre, guest enjoy access to showers, toilets and changing rooms as well as a viewing room on the second level that takes in both arenas.

Birr Equestrian Centre offers many trekking and trail riding options on the farm which take in forestland, bogland and wonderful views of nearby Slieve Bloom mountains. There is also a challenging cross country course and hunting across the fields of Tipperary and Offaly are on offer.

If You Go: Birr Equestrian Centre is open year round, from 9am to 6pm on weekdays, and until 7pm on weekends.
