Operating a chartering service aboard "Seadrifter," a 40 ft. Victory 40 ketch, suitable for 8 people, Shearwater Cruises operates out of Kinsale Harbour, an ideal homeport providing a wealth of cruising destinations along the magnificent West Cork coastline. Spend a relaxing week sailing along the south west coast visiting Cape Clear Island, the Bull Rock, the dramatic Skellig Rocks and the Blasket Islands. Explore remote islands, swim or snorkel, learn about navigation and enjoy a cruising holiday. Each cruise is planned to suit the individual group.

There's no better way to experience Ireland than by boat, soaking up the country's rich maritime heritage, sailing in unpolluted waters, experiencing Ireland's magnificent scenery and peaceful, secluded anchorages. West Cork's marine environment remains among the most pristine in Europe, with s Sightings of whales and dolphins are quite common, as well scores of seabirds: huge colonies of gannets, shearwaters, stormy petrels, puffins and terns are among the highlights. The owner and skipper is an experienced offshore sailor, who has completed over 80,000 miles and holds an Ocean Masters Ticket. He is also a keen ornithologist, with an intimate knowledge of the natural history of the area.

"Seadrifter" is a Victory 40 ketch designed by Van de Stadt. She is an exceptionally strong, spacious and comfortable cruising yacht with 6 ft headroom and sleep-aboard space for 6-8 people in three cabins with two heads, with showers and hot and cold water. She is fitted with radar, VHF, GPS, a liferaft, lifejackets and full safety gear.
