Country Choice

Set in the thriving market town of Nenagh in an agriculturally rich region in Co. Tipperary, Country Choice is a food shop and cafe that has become one of Ireland's best known food businesses. Established in 1982 County Choice is the creation of Peter and Mary Ward. Peter often introduces himself as a grocer, but of course he's much more than this. For he's an advocate and educator, elevating awareness for Ireland's growing food movement. someone who's able to speak passionately about locally sourced foods and authentic Irish cuisine.

Country Choice has gained a natural profile for selling fresh home made food, including real hams, organic vegetables, wholemeal breads, farmhouse butter and rich assortment of farmhouse cheese.s Food enthusiasts seek out Country Choice for providing a full range of Irish artisan food products, including Mary's homemade jam, a veritable cottage industry. Country Choice also has a selection of wines and regularly sponsors wine courses and other food events.

Set in the back of the shop, the Country Choice coffee shop serves a range of delicious lunch and has amassed a strong local following for its menu of fresh baked goods, savoury pastry dishes, homemade soups, and Desserts.

Country Choice is open Opened 9:00 - 5:30 pm from Mon - Sat. Closed Sundays.
