The Stables Emporium and Tea Rooms

Located in the heart of the heritage town of Birr in Co. Offaly, The Stables Emporium and Townhouse is a unique blend of an home furnishings and antique store combined with a traditional guesthouse and tea room.

For more than two decades the Stables has been running as a guesthouse, providing a quality bed and breakfast experience with six atmospheric, old world bedrooms, each with en suite bathrooms and basic modern comforts. Breakfasts consists of a pleasing medley of the usual favourites.

In the Stables main house guests can call into the Tea Room, where light lunches, snacks, coffees, desserts and a selection of wines and drinks are served in the atmospheric Georgian style lounge with its open fires and comfortable armchairs.

Set in a converted coach house that's accessed through the courtyard, the Stables Emporium is a unique store offering an array of Home Furnishings, Jewellery, Designer-Led Giftware, Fireplaces, Garden Furniture and Accessories, French and Scandinavian Style Furniture. From traditional to modern, expensive to value, all tastes and budgets are catered for.
