Frewin is an immaculate Victorian house, thanks to Thomas and Regina Coyle, who have carefully restored this fine Victorian Home that was once a Church of Ireland Rectory, into a family home and guest house. The results of their hard work is impressive. Architecturally speaking Frewin is a masterpiece, carefully and meticulously decorated in keeping with the era. As a result, Frewin is a quiet, peaceful and relaxing country house, with abundant historic charm throughout the premises.

Despite the gorgeous surroundings, Frewin is first and foremost a place to relax and unwind. Guests to Frewin will enjoy strolling into historic Ramelton, a charming heritage town at the mouth of the river Lennon that was once prosperous as a centre of the linen industry. Ramelton is at the head of Lough Swilly, a deep inlet of the sea reaching right into the heart of County Donegal, The area is surrounded by high mountains, yet is within a short drive to many fabulous beaches. Nearby is the Glenveagh National Park, centred on the Victorian-baronial Glenveagh Castle with its specacular gardens, and Derek Hill's Glebe House and Gallery at Church Hill. Ferry services across Lough Swilly and Lough Foyle facilitate numerous interesting day trip possibilities, taking in the Inishowen Peninsula, Walls of Derry, Giant's Causeway and the North Antrim coast even more accessible.
