Kissane Sheep Farm

Set between Kenmare and Killarney National Park in Co. Kerry, Kissane Sheep Farm is a lovely farm and home for Ireland's famous sheep and lambs. On Kissane Sheep Farm, visitors can adopt a sheep, a unique way of preserving the Irish heritage of sheep in the scenic mountains of Moll's Gap on the Ring of Kerry.

Kissane Sheep Farm is family-run by John and Anne Kissane, and takes in land encompassing the famed Moll's Gap in Killarney National Park. The whole area is designated as a Special Area of Conservation for its tremendous natural beauty, ecological, and heritage values.

Kissane Sheep Farm offers a creative approach to conserving mountain sheep traditions, offering an Adopt-a-Sheep program. For ?45-75 per year, the yearly costs of maintaining one mountain sheep, guests help preserve Irish Heritage while enjoying many privileges on the farm. Meet the mountain sheep in their natural environment. Enjoy a cup of tea at the farm. Take in sheepdog and sheep shearing demonstrations, cuddle and bottle-feed orphaned lambs. Stroll one of three marked walks over the farm land, from 1/2 hour to 2 hours in length.

Kissane Sheep Farm is a great place to stop along the Ring of Kerry and lets visitors get up close and personal with Ireland's most famous farm animal.
