Coolwood Park
Coolwood Park located in Coolcaslagh, just 2 miles from Killarney city centre in County Kerry is a 6 acre wildlife park and 44 acre wildlife sanctuary home to a plethora of different bird and animal species. The wildlife park has many different animals which visitors can see up close and, for certain animals, hold and pet. Visitors can pet Harry, the friendly ruffed lemur and take pictures with wallabies, llamas, and pygmy goats to name a few. The heavily wooded setting of both the park and the wildlife sanctuary is also the natural home of the rare Golden Eagle and hundreds of red squirrels.
Coolwood Park has short scenic walks for visitors, as well as a playground and coffee shop. The park appeals to both children and adults with it's natural setting and plenty of exotic animals. The park is open daily from 11:00-18:00.
