Annaharvey Farm was converted from a former cattle farm The guest house is set in a restored grain barn, with pine floors, rustic beams, and crackling fires. Each of its seven rooms are traditionally decorated, offering seven en suite guest rooms.
Annaharvey Farm has become well known for its wholesome home cooking. "People who come to Annaharvey Farm really love our food, which is basically good, simple, traditional, wholesome farmhouse cooking," according to Rachael Deverell, goddess of the kitchen who, along with her parents, help run the place. Their efforts have spun off a veritable cottage industry, selling their premium home-baked foods to local shops, restaurants, markets and online.
Guests to Annaharvey certainly needn't worry about going hungry. Wholesome breakfasts served in the sun room with a range of variety of breakfast cereals, fruits, yogurts, cold meats, cheese, and homemade bread, as well as an extensive menu of hot dishes. Light lunches are served on request, incuding homemade soup, quiches, cold meats, cheeses homemade bread. Many guests to Annaharvey rave about dinners, served in the main dining room and feature the best of Irish meat and vegetables, sourced locally, followed by one of our numerous tasteful and sometimes sinful desserts
Cooking at Annaharvey has become so famous that its spawned its own cottage industry. On certain days of the week the large kitchen table at Annaharvey Farm creeks under the weight of a cornacopia of traditional farmhouse cooking: cakes, breads, bisquits, jams, chutneys and sauces-- all these products being sold by Rachael at the local Saturday market. By popular demand, Rachael also offers cooking classes.
Annaharvey Farm is also an equestrian centre, offering a full range of services, including instruction in indoor and outdoor arenas. There are also numerous treks through the surrounding countryside. Annaharvey Farm is well equipped to cater to the full spectrum of riders, from Equestrian enthusiasts looking for an extended horse riding holiday to first timers who're seeking an alternative break away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
