The Maltings

Set along the river across from Birr Castle in the heritage town of Birr in Co. Offaly, The Maltings is an atmospheric family-run guesthouse with 13 guest rooms, along with a bar and restaurant set in an old store house.

The Maltings Guesthouse is family run by the Garry family. Each of the 13 traditionally styled guest rooms have en suite bathrooms with bath/shower, as well as tea and coffee making facilities, colour television and phone available.

The building itself was once used as a malthouse to store malt grown for Guinness. The Maltings Guest House also contains a restaurant and bar. Set across from Birr Castle the Maltings is a prime location for exploring the heritage town of Birr. A warm and friendly welcome is assured from Maeve Garry and her staff.
